73Throughout the years there has been much debate about the best diets or exercises on how to get rid of belly fat. Some say all you have to do is eat a low-fat diet and the fat will magically melt off your body. Others argue that exercising for an hour a day, five days a week is the best way to loose stomach fat. Even still, there are people that argue the type of exercise that you should do, or the intensity at which you should exercise. It's hard to sometimes sift through all of the information out there and find out what's truth and what's marketing.
The best way to loose belly fat is to combine both methods. Eat a diet
that is lower in unhealthy fats and exercise more. When changing your
diet, keep things simple at first. Don't go through and give up your
favorite sweets cold turkey. Depriving yourself may lead to binges of
the very food you are trying to avoid. Start by replacing a dessert
with a fruit one or two times per week. If you like to drink sugary
drinks, try the diet versions or try the flavored water packets that
are available now. Water is very important to your weight loss and you
should try to consume the recommended six 8oz glasses every day. If you
live in a warmer climate or if you work out a lot then you should drink
even more water in order to keep your body hydrated.
Choose Variety In Your Diet
Do not rely on fad diets to help you losing belly fat. Fad diets or diets that deprive you of certain food groups may work for a little while, but eventually you are going to get tired of eating the same thing, or not eating a food you love. When following this type of diet plan, you are more likely to break down and binge on the very food or food group that you have been trying to avoid.
Your diet should include plenty of lean proteins such as fish, chicken, and turkey. Vegetables such as broccoli, sweet potatoes, bell peppers, cucumbers, and spinach are good choices for low calorie snacks and meals. Some good fruit choices are strawberries, blueberries, apples, and bananas. Not only are these foods low in calories and fat, but they also contain valuable antioxidants that help your body fight off diseases.
Having a diet low in fat does not mean that you have to cut out all fats entirely. Recent research has shown that it’s important to include healthy fats in your diet for proper brain function. Healthy fats can be found in avocados, nuts, and olive oil to name a few.
Exercise Is Necessary
Exercise is necessary in order to lose stomach fat. The best exercise to fight fat is any aerobic activity. Running, biking, swimming, jumping rope, and even walking. The intensity of your exercise does not matter in the long run. You will burn the same amount of calories no matter what the intensity of your exercise.
Contrary to popular belief, doing hundreds of sit ups will not give you a flat stomach. You will have to lose the layer of fat that covers your abdominal muscles before you will be able to see the results of all those sit ups. That's not to say that doing sit ups is not helpful to your body, though. Sit ups build your core abdominal muscles, which in turn, help you out when you are doing other fat burning exercises.
You should make it your goal to have
at least 30 minutes of physical activity for 5 or 6 days of the week.
It’s OK if you can’t run for 30 minutes on your first day. Start out
slowly. Alternate jogging and walking until your body adjusts to the
exercise and you are able to run for longer periods of time. Even if
you are not a runner, walking is just as good exercise. For extra
cardiovascular exercise when walking, bend your arms at the elbow and
swing them back and forth as you walk.
Having a flat belly is not impossible. It will take a lot of hard work
and determination on your part. Stick with your healthy diet and
exercise program and you should start to see results within just a few
weeks.

just a comment on what is considered a good timeline for a bowel movement.. there is no way you should be having a bowel movement 30 minutes after eating. It takes approx. 6-9 hours to digest a meal, NOT 30 mins.
