For the best makeup application, you must start with a clean face and skin which is well taken care of. To achieve this, you must follow a few steps to implement a daily skin care routine. The four basic steps of good skin care are cleansing, exfoliating, toning, and moisturizing. Start with a good cleanser, wet your face, and spend a little under one minute cleansing. Massage the cleanser into your skin using your fingertips in a circular upward motion and rinse with warm water when you are done.

The second step is to exfoliate your skin, which is an important part of your skin care routine because it removes all of the dead skin from your epidermis. If the dead skin is left on your face, it will make your complexion look dull. Exfoliate in the same way which you cleansed your face and rinse off the exfoliate with warm water. The next step is to use a toner on your face for a balanced looking complexion. Put a bit of toner on a cotton ball or pad and sweep it over your face in an upward motion. After toning, restore the moisture in your face with a moisturizer.

How To Become A Natural Looking Beauty

Now that you have a clean face to start with, your entire complexion will look brighter and therefore your makeup will look better. This make up tutorial is for natural looking make up and the object is to use less make up so it does not cover up your features but brings them out.

The first product you will want to use is a foundation primer. Foundation primer will create a layer between your skin and the makeup, which gives the foundation something to stick to and will prevent the foundation from seeping into your pores. Put a dime size amount of foundation primer on a makeup sponge and apply it all over the face and neck in a thin layer.

Next, apply an under eye concealer in the inside corners and slightly under the eye. Dab the concealer with your finger rather than blending it with the finger. The skin under the eye is very delicate and therefore gentle dabbing is safer than pulling while blending.

The next step is to use a foundation which matches your complexion on top of the foundation primer. Use a cream or liquid foundation on a makeup sponge and lightly blend it on all areas of the face. A good way to apply the foundation is to sweep some across the nose, on the cheeks, chin, neck, and forehead, and then blend outwards toward the hairline.

When the foundation has become seamlessly blended, use either a translucent loose powder and a powder brush for a more natural look over the top of the foundation, or a pressed powder which matches your complexion. The pressed powder should be pressed into the skin with makeup puff rather than dusted over the skin. This application allows the powder to set properly on top of the foundation.

Eyes, Lips and Cheeks

The next part of this make up tutorial is about the eyes, lips and cheeks. Mascara, eye liner, and eye shadow can all be used on the eyes.

Start with a natural color eye shadow and sweep it across the lid of your eye with an eye shadow brush. Use a shadow which is two shades darker, and apply it only in the crease of the eyelid to create some depth. Finally, you can apply a very light or white eye shadow on your brow bone. Both the inner lids and the outer lids can be lined with eye liner, but it is up to you depending on the effect you want.

Generally lining on the outside of the lid will make the eye look bigger. Start at the inside of the eye and drag the pencil across the top of the lid. Dot the lower lid with eyeliner and smudge it in with your finger to create a soft lined look. Mascara should be applied by starting at the lash base. Jiggle the wand to prevent clumps and sweep the wand upwards for extended length. Use a rosy blush on the apples of your cheeks and apply a lipstick.

Great Hub. I love the videos of the makeup tutorials. Another way to become a natural beauty is from the inside out. Drinking lots of water, taking vitamins and eating lots of fruits and vegetables.
